Overview: Macromedia Dreamweaver MX has everything you need to develop a professional Web site.  It is an exciting and fun package for the creation of professional quality web sites and is extremely easy to get to grips with because it uses the very best WYSIWYG (what you see is what you get) editors; allows simple creation of tables and frames; ability to use layers, animations; full support of cascading style sheets; extensive code-editing support.

Dreamweaver MX includes professional-quality, pre-built layouts and code, which includes site structures, forms, accessible templates, and JavaScript functions for client-side interactivity. There is also a Site Setup Wizard that helps you quickly enter the information for configuring dynamic, staged, or ISP-hosted sites.

The advanced course introduces concepts of the Dreamweaver MX Web development application including work with advanced Web site creation features including libraries and behaviors. In addition, you will use many of the new features available within the HTML 4 standard including style sheets and layers.

Course Objectives

bullet Define keyword, description, and other meta tags in order to make your site visible to automatic search engine spiders.
bullet Create CSS styles to streamline text formatting within a page, and create external style sheets to allow formatting information to be used throughout a site.
bullet Create and manage layers, as well as combine layers with behaviors to provide additional visual feedback for a viewer navigating a site.
bullet Use the History panel to simplify repetitive tasks both within a single document and with other documents in a site.
bullet Target page content to specific browsers and versions.
bullet Add a form to your web page.
